Hey everyone. The new layout is ready (except for new screen shots) but I've had ZERO time to get anything done. I kind of forgot that June is a really busy month. I've had lots of graduations, openhouses, Tony's birthday (which is today, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TONY, I love you!), we're having lots of work done on our house (a new kitchen floor, new tile, new paint...you get the idea) and I've been really busy helping my MIL with her gallery/store that is opening on Aug. 2...to top it all off, I now have a COLD. In June...being sick in the winter is crappy, but being sick when it's hot outside sucks. After the 28th (which is my little sister's openhouse), I will have a long-ish stretch of time to work on getting screenshots taken and for getting new downloads up on the site.

Okay, now that that's out of the way, I've been seeing recolors of my stuff (my eyes in particular) on quite a few sites. The recolors haven't been offered as any type of download (that I know of, outside of a sim of Keely's (& I had offered to let her include her recolor if she wanted to)) but I wanted to post my UPDATED terms (recoloring is OKAY) here so that you know what you can and can't do with my files:

File Sharing & Usage:

Sims by Sarhra is file-share friendly. What does this mean? This means that you may share my files via email/IM programs. This does NOT mean you can put my files (AS IS) for download on your own website/e-group. I do ask that the files remain in their original format when sharing and that my readme text stays with the file.

Using my files as is:
You may use my files (as is) in your whole sims that you upload to MTS2 or any other (100%)FREE site.

Recoloring/Franken-Skinning:
•Genetics (eyes & skintones) & Makeup - You may recolor these items to use in your own creations that you wish to upload to any free site. Please ask me before you reuse/recolor/alter my hair textures.
• Clothing - You may recolor my clothing in part OR chop them up, make seperates out of them or use bits and bobs in your creations that you wish to upload to any free site.
• You may make defaults sets using my eyes (as is or recolored) and/or makeup.

You can use my alphas for your own creations, provided credit is given and the item made with said alpha isn’t uploaded to a paysite.

If you decide to use my textures, please give credit to “Sarhra” (me) and link to Sims By Sarhra. Please do NOT post any recolors of my things to the Exchange or any pay/donation site. Recolors of my things must be file share friendly and be accessible by EVERYONE. If you do use my stuff, let me know, I’d love to see what you’ve made!

If I’ve made something based on the work of another creator and you’d like to use said creation as a base for your own stuff, please read the other creator’s terms of use/policy before releasing your creations to the masses. It’s polite and respectful to all involved.

If you would like to use my things in your screenshots or stories, please do! Credit is always appreciated, but not required.

Additionally, please do not alter any sims that I have created and uploaded for you to play with in your games. You should never claim my sims as your own or enter them in any sort of contest.

Remember, nothing that I’ve created or that you’ve created using my things should ever be put on a pay site. No pay/donation sites…ever.

!!This policy change overwrites any existing readme files contained within my .zip/.rar files!!

Well, I'm off to install the IKEA stuff pack and take some screenshots. :) Side note: Even if the new downloads aren't ready to upload soon (soon as in -a few days soon- (I have lots of stuff to sort and rename)), I will be changing the layout soon as I'm really sick of seeing this brown. :P

Hi! Just a friendly reminder that you shoud download the clothing now (if you want it) as I will be taking it down no later than Sunday, June 1st. The site is getting a major overhaul and I have lots of new stuff to add and I won't be adding the old downloads back (no old accessories or old clothing, but the eyes and makeup will be re-uploaded). I've got, literally 350+ new things to add and there just isn't a place for the old stuff anymore and it's taking up much needed space. Once I get the site layout changed and everything is working as it should, I will be uploading the new downloads gradually. Anyway, things will be wonky around here starting Friday (May 30) so don't be alarmed. I've got a lot of work ahead of me but it's going to be well worth it. :D See you soon!
